Veterinary Assistant / Technician

Sierra is a veterinary assistant at Five Rivers Pet Emergency Hospital whose passion for animal advocacy began early in life. Growing up surrounded by animals, she developed a strong connection to them, which deepened when she adopted her Cane Corso, Gigi.

Through extensive training and hands-on experience, Sierra became especially interested in advocating for misunderstood breeds and supporting pets with behavioral and medical challenges. During college, personal experiences with pet illness sparked a strong interest in veterinary medicine and research. She has since worked in emergency clinics and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Lincoln Memorial University, with plans to attend veterinary school.

Sierra lives with Gigi, an affectionate and loyal eight-year-old Cane Corso. Outside of work and academics, she focuses on personal wellness, fitness, and spending time with family and friends, who remain a constant source of support.
