Meagan O.
Veterinary Assistant
Meagan has always felt a stronger connection with animals than with people and could not imagine working in any other field. She completed a phlebotomy course in 2013 to strengthen her venipuncture skills and has completed her general education coursework at Walters State Community College.
Meagan lives in Jefferson City with her boyfriend Dakota, whom she has been dating for just over two years. She is a devoted mother to three children: MacKenzie, her 18-year-old daughter who plays volleyball at Pellissippi Community College; Tyson, her 16-year-old son who plays the baritone for Jefferson County High School’s band; and River, her 7-year-old daughter who keeps the household lively. Her pets include Waylon, a 9-year-old Bluetick Coonhound who came to her care at age 3 and has thrived under her dedicated attention, and Millie, a medium-sized mixed breed who arrived severely malnourished at 29 pounds at age 6 and has grown into a healthy 44-pound companion who loves ball games, car rides, and playing with the children. Outside of work, Meagan enjoys reading, playing pool and cards with friends, fishing, and spending time in the water during summer months.
