Schedule and shift flexibility

Because emergency medicine operates 24/7/365, reliability and flexibility are key to our operation. We offer flexible scheduling options to support healthy work-life balance for our clinicians:

• Options available for Full-Time, Part-Time, and Relief shifts (including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays).
• Proactive shift planning to ensure fair rotation and dedicated time off to rest and recharge.

Core responsibilities

• Emergency medicine and critical care: Manage a diverse and fast-paced caseload ranging from outpatient urgent care to critical life-support and shock stabilization.
• Surgical and diagnostic intervention: Perform emergency surgical procedures, sedated interventions, and diagnostic workups (point-of-care ultrasound, digital radiography, in-house laboratory suite).
• Collaborative leadership: Work closely with cross-trained medical technicians and assistants, delegating floor tasks effectively while guiding the clinical team with clarity and composure.
• Client and referring DVM communication: Provide compassionate, empathetic communication to pet owners during high-stress moments and maintain strong relationships with local primary care veterinarians.

Candidate qualifications

• Degree and licensure: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent, with an active state veterinary license in good standing.
• Experience level: Open to experienced ER clinicians, internship-trained doctors, or motivated general practitioners eager to transition into emergency medicine with structured support and mentorship.
• Clinical skills: Proficiency (or eagerness to develop proficiency under mentorship) in emergency triage, stabilization, critical care, and soft-tissue emergency surgery.
• Mindset and fit: A positive, collaborative attitude, strong communication skills, and a desire to contribute to a healthy, team-first hospital culture.
