Veterinary Assistant/Technician
Kassie has been working in veterinary medicine since 2013, beginning her career at a local small animal clinic where she spent considerable time with a veterinarian specializing in orthopedic surgery. Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is educating pet owners and helping them understand what is happening with their animals and the care options available. She finds fulfillment in these conversations and in supporting families through difficult medical decisions.
When not at the clinic, Kassie maintains a busy schedule raising her teenage son Evan, including preparing homemade muffins for his school breakfasts on a regular basis. She shares her home with several pets including dogs, cats, and chickens. Two of her dogs, Tike and Creed, are active outdoor companions and have both served as blood donors at the clinic to help other pets during their recovery journeys.
