Allison A.
Veterinary Assistant / Technician
Allison brings extensive experience to Five Rivers Pet Emergency Hospital after nearly a decade in emergency, intensive care, and critical care medicine. Her veterinary journey began around 2009 and includes eight years of general practice, one to two years in shelter medicine and low-cost spay and neuter community service, and nine years in emergency and specialty care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Maryville College and holds her first-degree black belt in Goju Ryu.
Her passion extends beyond the clinic through dog sports, dock diving, shed hunting, and dog training. Allison manages and maintains farm properties on the side and holds a minor in environmental science. She lives with her partner and a full household that includes two cats named Patron and Bacardi, four Border Collies named Chispa, Flint, Fusee, and Lasair, one Armenian Gampr named Arpi, and one American Pit Bull Terrier and Cane Corso mix named Moonshine. Her home also includes various livestock. Outside of work, she can often be found traveling, training dogs, and pursuing her many interests in animal behavior and land stewardship.
