Carrie S.

Veterinary Assistant / Technician

Carrie has worked in veterinary medicine for over two decades, beginning her career as a kennel assistant at the age of 16. Over the years, she advanced through roles in reception, patient care, and surgical assistance, building extensive experience in both surgery and emergency care.

She lives in Grainger County with her fiancé and enjoys spending time with her grown children, Tommy and Haley. Carrie’s pets include Diamond, a 17-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, Thundercat the tuxedo cat, and several fish tanks that bring her joy and relaxation. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and watching hummingbirds.

Carrie is deeply committed to caring for sick and injured pets and finds fulfillment in helping them feel safe, loved, and comfortable during their time at Five Rivers.
