Dr. Megan Brown
Veterinarian & Medical Director
Dr. Megan Brown is a full-time veterinarian at Five Rivers Pet Emergency Hospital. Her passion for medicine began early, inspired by watching her mother work as a nurse, and her love for animals grew through years of showing horses and participating in 4-H.
Originally from Ohio, Dr. Brown moved to Tennessee in 2016 to complete her undergraduate studies in Animal Science at the University of Tennessee. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University and has since made East Tennessee home, drawn to the mountains, lakes, and strong sense of community.
Dr. Brown lives in Maynardville with her “crew of pirates” Jack Sparrow, Barbossa, and Will Turner. Jack and Barbossa are affectionate cats who enjoy quiet snuggle time, while Will Turner, a chocolate Lab–Pit mix, is the energetic newest addition to the family. Outside of work, Dr. Brown enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, and embracing life in East Tennessee.
